It was a great day to go diving especially considering some friends of ours had come down from Sydney to go diving with us. The weather was fine and warm, very light wind and the surface was flat with good vis.
The dive here really was just like any other with all the usual suspects about although we were disappointed not to find the resident Tassled Angler Fish. There were heaps of verco nudibranchs about but they were all dark in colour and not a bright yellow. It seems this is due to some sort of mucus they secrete for protection, definitely makes them less picturesque.
We did find another nudi which we haven't yet identified. It was very well camouflaged on the pylon, much more visible when it fell to the sand though.
About halfway through the dive I discovered my dive computer wasn't working, doesn't really matter on these shallow sites, I only use it to give me depth, time and temperature to add here in my log. Strangely, it is working here at home again!!
I think all up we did just under 2 hours but will have to wait and get the data from my buddy. Great dive, really enjoyed it.
