The water was murky but was better than we had seen for the last few weeks and decided to give it a go.
Entry was via the lower landing at the end of the pier and we swam directly under the pier to access the outside of the rock wall. There were quite a few fish hiding in the murk under the pier and there was also a very dark section at the end. None of had a decent torch so we'll have to explore in there next time.
There was plenty of kelp and weed on the outside of the wall, not much life about but perhaps that will improve as the water warms up.
I think there would be lots of smaller critters to look at under the pier when the water is clearer. The only thing I found to take a photo of was this shrimp and it turned out blurry!
Exit was difficult in the murk and some of the access ladders are rusted and broken so must remember to check these carefully before entry next time.
