After getting air fills and a quick bite, we had our second dive at The Springs. The weather had cleared slightly since the change came through as we exiting the previous dive at Point Lonsdale. There was still the odd shower about though. Crawling back into a cold wet wetsuit on a cool day can be hard enough without getting rained on as well!
The water was warm though with a gentle surge rocking us back a forth. It is surprising that with so much plant life here it isn't teeming with fish. I didn't see much on this dive either, but then again, we didn't go out very far.
Found lots of ledges which did have fish under them, no lobster though, perhaps not deep enough. Found a new (for me) sea star, an ocellate sea star which I thought was a good find. I also found a gorgonian under a rock ledge, I think it might be the first time I have seen one of these also.
Again, not the best dive I've had, but as they say about pizza, 'even bad pizza is good pizza!'
