The weather was great on arrival at Blairgowrie marina. No wind, relatively clear skys and temperature in the low 20s. Parking was in the lower carpark close to the yacht squadron clubhouse which meant no hill to climb afterwards and, being a weekday, was nice a quite with hardly anyone around.
We hit the water at 09:30 and were expecting a bit of current as it was about halfway between low and high tide. The current here can be very strong at times, but the water was quite still for the whole dive with vis of about 10-12 metres.
It's been so long since I have dived here that I had forgotten how good it was. So many different critters and so much colour. I was really hoping to finally find a tasselled anglerfish and I wasn't disappointed. We also found several species of nudibranchs, a juvenile greenback stingaree with a docked tail, a ruddy gurnard perch with one eye amongst others. So much life now that the weather has warmed up again.
Really enjoyable dive, can't wait to get back again.
